In Nepali language, Mukti means ‘Salvation’, what many know by the word Nirvana. It is a pilgrimage site where people come and go to relieve their sorrows and evil deeds. The Nath, or God of Mukti is believed by many Hindus to liberate them from their sins and purify their soul; so many want to visit this area for at least once in a lifetime. This is the reason why you’ll find this place full of calmness and wisdom all around; and after you visit once it seems to call you again and again. This temple is located in Mustang, in the upper central region in the geographical map of Nepal, at an altitude of around 3800 meters. There are 108 water sprouts where holy water flows; and nearby, there is a natural eternal flame coming out of the ground.
