Prakash Chandra Lohani Founder & Chairman Prakash began by cooperation with UN-WFP and other INGOs, assisting them with the distribution of essential items such as food, clothes, and medicine to very remote areas in Jumla, Humla, Kalikot, etc. With time, Prakash took a bigger role by managing cargo flights & helicopters. In dire emergencies, he was able to arrange Nepal Army’s aircrafts. For years, he had been directly assisting the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, MSF, GTZ, WFP, and UNDP with cargo and passenger flights to remote and post-disaster regions. In the meantime, he operated tours in Tibet as well. Around 2012, an influx of insurance & assistance companies from abroad needed local partnership. Prakash rose to this occasion with copious experience – and Alpine Rescue Service was born. Prakash’s career, now nearing its third decade, is full of extraordinary undertakings. His experience & involvement encompasses a wide array of initiatives in the field of education, finance, hotels, and energy generation.
